The tower of Tione degli Abruzzi The Tower of Tione degli Abruzzi was erected in XIV century as a watchtower and was therefore located in the upper part of the village of Tione degli Abruzzi. It was probably surrounded by walls, which today are not visible any more. It is a tower with a squared base and entrance located in the upper eastern part. The access was through a draw ladder. After restoration works carried out in 1951, an entrance was opened in the lower part of the tower. The tower is 20 mt high and divided in 4 floors whose access is possible by an iron ladder. The floors are built on a wooden frame, whilst the upper part of the tower is made of concrete.

In one side of the tower, a clock has been inserted and the tower today is the tower of the Municipality of Tione degli Abruzzi. Local importance
The development potential of the cultural value could be further fostered. For instance, guided tours could be organised in order to keep the interest high in this important building, which is part of the town history.
