The village of di Mezzo Fort (Rocca di Mezzo) After the defeat of the Roman Empire, the territory was under the Odoacre Kindom'r rule followed by Teodorico's. Soon after the conquest by Lombards, the area was ruled by the Dukedom of Spoleto. It is around 1.000 A.D that four communities, dedicated to sheep farming and agriculture, founded the village of Rocca di Mezzo.
