Sagra of Ijju Cerijje
Sagra of ijju Cerijje, a traditional event dedicated to a local dish: lamb meat cooked on cedar wood fire, will take place on 17th, 18th and 19th of August in Rocca di Cambio. In the past there was a competition amongst various groups to identify the best way of cooking lamb meat. This event is very popular amongst locals and tourist, and is an attraction to reinforce and discover the local traditions and culture. The name Cerìjje comes from the name of a native tree species, Quercus cerris, which is used to roast the meat.
